Islamic Teachings-Fiqh


FIQ-H   A’QAA-ID

A’qaa-id (belief) regarding Taw-hiid (the Oneness) OF Allah Taa’la.

1. Allah Taa’la is one.
2. Allah Taa’la has no partner.
3. Allah   Taa’la has no parents.
4. Allah Taa’la   has no children.
5. Allah Taa’la   has no family.
6. Allah Taa’la   has always been.
7. Allah Taa’la    will remain for ever.
8. Allah Taa’la   controls the universe.
9. Allah Taa’la    does not need anything.
10. Everything is in need of Allah Taa’la.
11. Allah Taa’la is present everywhere.
12. Allah Taa’la knows that happens everywhere.
13. Allah Taa’la   does not eat, drink or sleep. 

Kalimatut Sha-haadah.

Ash- hadu  allaa  ilaaha  illa  llah  wa  ash  hadu  anna  Muhammadan  a’bduhu  wa  rasuuruhu

Meaning:

I bear witness that there is none  worthy  of  worship  besides  Allah,  and  I  bear  witness  that  Muhammad  (s.a.w)  is  His  Servant  and  His  Messenger. (Muslim, Abu Daau’d)


FIQ-H   DIINIYAAT

Twahaarah:

  1. A Muslim stays twahara (paak) at all times.
  2. Muslims  do  not  stay  najies ( naapaak)
  3. A  Muslim’s  body  and  clothing  should be always  twahara.(paak)
  4. Allah Taa’la  likes  Twahara  (paak) people.
  5. To  stay  twahara  (paak) and  clean is  half  of  layman  (faith)

The Qaa’bah and  Qiblah

     What   is the Qaa’bah?
  1. The word Qaa’bah in Arabic means square.
  2. A  square  house  was  built  in  the  great  Masjid of  Makkah  Mukarramah.
  3. This  ( big square  unit) was  the  first  house  built  for  the  Ibaadah (worship) Allah Taa’la.
  4. The first house for worshipping Allah Taa’la was built in Makkah Mukarramah.
  5. This large house of Allah Taa’la is called Qaa’bah.
  6. The  Qaa’bah  was  first  built  by  Hudhrut Aadam  (a.s) and  then rebuilt  by  Hudhrut  Ibraahiim (a.s)
  7. We all perform prayer facing the holy Qaa’bah.  This Qaa’bah is in the great, sacred   Masjid of Makkah Mukarramah.
  8. The Qaa’bah is our Qiblah (direction).
  9. The Qaa’bah is also the Qiblah (direction) for all Muslims.


Which direction is called the Qiblah?

  1. The  direction which  we  face  in prayer  (namaaz) towards  Makkah  Mukarramah  and  the  Qaa’bah,  is  called  the  Qiblah.
  2.  We  must  stand  facing  the  Qiblah  (direction) in  our  built  five  daily  prayer(namaaz).
  3. All  our  Masjids  are  built  facing  the  Qiblah  which  is  the  direction towards  the  Qaa’bah.

D.FIQ-H: AADAAB.

Aadab of eating

  1. We should wash both our hands before eating.
  2. We should cover our heads when eating.
  3. We should sit on floor to eat.
  4. We  should  recite:

Bismillahr Rahmaanir Rahiim

Before commencing to eat or drink. (Bukhaariy, Muslim)
.
  1. We should eat or drink with the right hand.
  2. We should not eat or drink with the left hand.
  3. The Shay’taan eats and drinks with the left hand.
  4. Without complaining, quietly eat whatever has been prepared at   home for a meal.
  5. We  should  not  insist  or  demand  on  only  having  special  things  that  are  not on  the  table.
  6. We should not eat very hot food.
  7. We should not blow into very hot food to cool it.
  8. We should not stand and eat or drink.
  9. We should not walk about and eat or drink.
  10. We should drink water and liquids bit.  We  should  drink  slowly, taking three  small  mouth  full, and  pause  after  each  draught(not  drinking all  in  one gulp).
  11. The  first  amount  should  be  a  small  sip, the  second  a  bit  more and  the third  draught  greater  than  the  second  quantity  drunk.
  12. We  should  cleanly  eat  up left  over  gravy  and  other  food   bits  and  pieces  in  our  plate.  We  must also  not  leave  bread  crumbs  on  the  table  cloth.
  13. We  should  clean  the  plate  with  the  index  finger  of  the  right  hand,  and  also  lick  our  fingers  clean upon  having  eaten.
  14. We  must  not  leave  any  small  amount  in  our  plates,  bowls,  glasses  or  cups  upon  having  eaten,  or  when  drinking.  This is wasteful.  Muslims are forbidden to waste good food and healthy drinks.
  15. We  should  wash  our  hands  with  soap  after  eating, and  also,  gargle  our  mouth  with  water.
  16. We  should  wipe  our  hands  with  a  towel  after  washing  them.
  17. Upon  having  eaten  a  meal  say:

Alhamdulillahilladhii Atwoa’manaa, Wasaqaanaa,   Wajaa’lanaa   Muslimiina
   (Abuu Daauu’d, Ibn Maajah, Tirmithy)

Aadaab of Istinjaa’
(i.e., washing after relieving oneself)

  1. Muslim must squat when relieving them selves.  
  2. Our  Prophet  (s.a.w) taught  the  Muslims  to  squat  when  answering  the  call  of  nature.
  3. Muslims must perform Istinjaa’ with   water after urinating and relieving themselves.
  4. Muslims  must  use  the  left  hand  to  wash  when  performing  Istinjaa’.
  5. Clean water must be used for Istinjaa’.
  6. Muslims  must  not  face  the  Qiblah 
  7. Muslims also must not keep their backs towards the Qiblah direction when revealing themselves.
  8.  Muslims should take care that urine doe’s splash onto their body or clothing.
  9.  Muslims must wash their hands with clean water Istinjaa’. To use soap and water when washing one’s hands is better and desirable.
